The United States has deployed two additional Patriot air defense batteries to protect oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the Axios portal wrote.
– According to the report, Washington wanted to assure its allies that it will protect their key energy sites in case a decision is made to resume a full-fledged operation against Iran.
– The portal says that in preparation for such a potential development, the United States has been deploying more ships, fighter jets and troops to the region.
