We set off for Argentina, a country brimming with the passion of tango and love for soccer.

This marks the first official visit to Argentina by a President of the Republic of Korea in 22 years. We will seek to reaffirm the immense potential shared by our two nations and channel it into tangible outcomes that our citizens and businesses can truly feel.

Beyond bolstering cooperation in economic security areas such as critical minerals, energy, and food, we also plan to open new pathways for collaboration toward the future in fields like culture, science and technology, and aerospace.

I’ve heard that the lithium development project our companies are pursuing in Argentina is called “Sal de Oro” (Golden Salt). I hope that through this summit, the cooperation between our two countries will bear fruit as precious and radiant as gold.

President Javier Milei, see you soon in Buenos Aires!
