I was pleased to welcome the new Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Vasile Tofan, to Cotroceni Palace today, on the occasion of his first foreign visit since taking office.
I reaffirmed the privileged nature of the relationship between Romania and the Republic of Moldova and our commitment to continue developing joint projects, particularly in the economic, energy, and transport sectors. These projects contribute to strengthening the resilience and prosperity of both states and the entire region.
I also reconfirmed Romania’s firm and consistent support for the Republic of Moldova’s European path and welcomed the opening of the first negotiation clusters.
