STATE SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS L.MUNKHTUSHIG MEETS RESPECTIVELY WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM GERMANY, SWITZERLAND, SWEDEN, AND THE PRC
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs L.Munkhtushig received and met respectively with Liu Xiaoming, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, who arrived in Ulaanbaatar to participate in the 11th international conference “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” on security issues in Northeast Asia, to be held on June 4-5, 2026; Joachim Bretele, Ambassador and Director responsible for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Pacific Island Countries, as well as Deputy Director General for Asia and Pacific Countries at the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany; Marcus Leitner, Director for Asia and the Pacific and Deputy State Secretary at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation; and Peter Semneby, Special Envoy for Korean Peninsula Affairs and Ambassador at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden.
State Secretary L.Munkhtushig expressed gratitude to the representatives participating in the annual “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” international conference, which has been held as a tradition every year since 2014, and exchanged views on Mongolia’s foreign policy, policies and activities in the Northeast Asia region, as well as bilateral relations and cooperation.
The “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” international conference is co-organized with the Institute for Strategic Studies, and a total of 250 representatives from 30 countries, international organizations, and domestic scholars and researchers will participate in this edition of the conference.
