Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, has stressed the importance of a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the opening of the strip to allow sustained humanitarian aid in line with President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
– The foreign minister made the statements in a phone call with Nikolay Mladenov, the director-general of Trump’s Board of Peace, according to a statement by the Egyptian foreign ministry.
– Both sides also discussed the deployment of the International Stabilization Force expected to take over security in Gaza, the statement said.
Israel’s PM Netanyahu formally rejected the 15-point peace plan on Sunday.
