Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, has stressed the importance of a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the opening of the strip to allow sustained humanitarian aid in line with President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.

– The foreign minister made the statements in a phone call with Nikolay Mladenov, the director-general of Trump’s Board of Peace, according to a statement by the Egyptian foreign ministry.

Both sides also discussed the deployment of the International Stabilization Force expected to take over security in Gaza, the statement said.

Israel’s PM Netanyahu formally rejected the 15-point peace plan on Sunday.
