– “The President advocated for trilateral arms control negotiations between the United States, Russia, and China,” the White House said following the Chinese leader’s visit to the US on September 23-25.
– The two leaders also discussed “on-going global concerns,” including those concerning Russia, North Korea, and Iran. “They agreed that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and that no country or institution can be allowed to impose tolls on international waterways,” the fact sheet reads.
Leaders of China, US agree to provide mutual support for hosting APEC, G20 summits
– Chinese President Xi Jinping and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, agreed during the Chinese leader’s visit to the US to provide mutual support for hosting the APEC and G20 summits, Xinhua news agency reported.
– “The parties agreed to provide mutual support for successfully holding informal meetings of APEC leaders and G20 summits. The heads of state expressed their intention to participate in the events organized by the other side,” the report said.
