Delighted to welcome the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola to Government Buildings this morning, alongside Minister Helen McEntee to discuss our priorities as Ireland takes on the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
For the next six months we will bring 27 member states together to find common ground on the issues that matter at home: jobs, energy costs, farming, housing, opportunities for young people and so much more.
Our priorities are clear. Competitiveness. Values. Security.
I look forward to working with the President and MEPs from across all member states. Ní neart go cur le chéile. Strength with unity.
