Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Qatar and Egypt to discuss the latest regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said on Sunday.
– During the calls, the ministers reviewed the latest developments in the region and discussed ways to continue supporting efforts aimed at reducing escalation, advancing diplomatic solutions, and ensuring the security and safety of waterways in the Gulf and the Red Sea.
– The discussions also focused on preserving the security and stability of the region, the ministry said.
– The phone calls come as regional diplomatic efforts continue to focus on deescalation and safeguarding maritime security in key shipping routes across the Gulf and the Red Sea.
