Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Public Diplomacy, Rayed Krimly, is the latest official to speak out on the Saudi Arabia-Pakistan-Turkiye defence pact, saying it is not intended to create a “military axis or sectarian bloc” or replace the kingdom’s Arab Gulf relations.
– “The agreement does not represent any intention to build a military axis or a sectarian/religious bloc,” Krimly posted on X. “It is not linked to nuclear ambitions or an arms race, but rather to building sustainable, self-reliant capabilities.”
– He added that the agreement does not threaten Saudi Arabia’s “strategic relations at the Gulf, Arab and international levels,” supersede any existing international agreements, or threaten any other country’s security.
