I thanked Japan for its steadfast support for refugees and UNHCR, and its longstanding leadership in advancing human security.
We discussed Japan’s vital role in strengthening international cooperation to protect people forced to flee, and the importance of complementing humanitarian assistance with lasting solutions that enable refugees in the world to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
