Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani Meets with U.S. Envoys

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with His Excellency Mr. Steve Witkoff and His Excellency Mr. Jared Kushner, U.S. Envoys.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the ongoing talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran were reviewed within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the two sides, as well as efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.
The meeting also addressed regional developments, particularly the ceasefire in the sisterly Republic of Lebanon, and emphasized the importance of consolidating it and building upon it in a manner that preserves Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and stability.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar’s continued mediation efforts and its support for all tracks of talks stemming from the memorandum of understanding, with a view to achieving a comprehensive and sustainable solution that enhances regional security, safeguards the interests of its peoples, and supports international peace and security.
For their part, the U.S. envoys expressed the United States of America’s appreciation for the role played by the State of Qatar, in partnership with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in facilitating the course of the talks, reaffirming the United States’ commitment to continuing the negotiating track and supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement.
