Chinese New Year always reminds us of prosperity, hope, and the strength to move forward with full confidence. In this Year of the Horse, perseverance, courage, and fighting spirit are celebrated alongside the call to act with wisdom and moderation.
Confucius reminded us that harmony is born when people respect and understand one another. This is the foundation that enables a multi-ethnic society to live together peacefully despite differences in cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
At a time when public discourse is increasingly susceptible to emotional provocation and incitement, we must not allow differences of opinion to fracture relationships or erode the trust that the Malaysian people have built over a long time. Instead, these differences should become a space to strengthen the spirit of goodwill, reject prejudice, and choose the path of dialogue, negotiation, and wisdom.
I am confident that Malaysia will continue to stride forward boldly when harmony, respect, and kindness are embraced as shared values. May this year bring all Malaysians abundant well-being and prosperity.
Gong Xi Fa Cai! Xin Nian Kuai Le! Ma Nian Xin Da Yun!
