Designed by Professor Georg Mathèy, the uniform motif features a classic postal horn (Posthorn) in white silhouette below the bold numeral “20”, set within an oval on a hatched carmine red background. Encircling the oval is the inscription “DEUTSCHE BUNDESPOST” in elegant antiqua lettering – a proud declaration of the unified West German postal authority.
