The Palestine Red Crescent Society says it took part in a medical evacuation through Gaza’s Rafah crossing, carrying 74 people, including 38 patients and 36 companions, Wafa news agency reports.
– The evacuation was carried out in coordination with the World Health Organization, Wafa added, as part of ongoing efforts to allow patients from Gaza to access treatment outside the war-battered enclave.
– Israel’s bombardment during its genocidal war on the enclave has ravaged its health sector – already severely strained before the war – pushing it to the brink of collapse.
