Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi will travel to Tehran on Tuesday for meetings with Iranian officials, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement via IRNA.
– Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, said Albusaidi is set to hold talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on bilateral relations and regional matters. The visit, he added, is part of an ongoing political dialogue between the two countries, which share responsibility for the Strait of Hormuz.
– “This trip is in line with strengthening Iran-Oman bilateral cooperation and continuing sustained political consultations between the two sides as littoral states of the Strait of Hormuz, to help bolster peace and stability in the region,” Baghaei said.
