Foreign Minister Wang Yi of the People’s Republic of China Meets with President U. Khürelsükh
Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, President of Mongolia, received Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
President U. Khürelsükh expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations and cooperation at the level of a “comprehensive strategic partnership.”
He noted that during his participation in the extended summit of SCO heads of state held in the PRC last year, he met with President Xi Jinping of that country, exchanged views on numerous issues related to relations and cooperation, and reached a common understanding.
He also asked Minister Wang Yi to convey greetings to President Xi Jinping of the PRC.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral relations and cooperation under the guidance of the two countries’ heads of state, and expressed his commitment to further expanding cooperation going forward.
He presented an official letter from PRC President Xi Jinping conveying birthday greetings to President U. Khürelsükh.
In the message, it was noted: “Ensuring long-term and stable development fully aligns with the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries. We are committed to strengthening mutual trust and further deepening and developing cooperation within the framework of the ‘comprehensive strategic partnership.'”
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as increasing trade turnover, boosting exports of mining products and diversifying varieties, infrastructure construction, railway connectivity, enhancing port throughput capacity, transit transportation, oil, green energy, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and more.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi of the PRC had previously met with President U. Khürelsükh during his visit to our country in 2022.
