I and PM Tarique Rahman held a one-on-one meeting and subsequently led our respective national delegations in bilateral talks that took place in an atmosphere of full respect.
The discussions focused on efforts to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including trade and investment, energy, artificial intelligence (AI), the digital economy, education, human capital development, agriculture, the halal industry, and labor management.
We also focused on the situation in Myanmar, including developments related to the Rohingya crisis, and emphasized the importance of continuing peace efforts through the comprehensive involvement of all stakeholders.
I appreciate Bangladesh’s commitment to helping the Rohingya community and
We also exchanged views on regional and international developments that require a dialog-based approach, peace, and mutual respect.
Malaysia expresses its appreciation to Bangladesh as an important partner in South Asia and is confident that there is still much potential for cooperation that can be explored for the economic progress and well-being of the people of both countries.
I believe the agreements reached today will continue to strengthen Malaysia-Bangladesh relations and open up more opportunities for cooperation in the future.
