NATO fighter jets stationed at Lithuania’s Zokniai Air Base were scrambled to identify an object detected by military surveillance systems, national broadcaster LRT reported, citing a statement from the Baltic country’s National Crisis Management Center.
– The center also “issued an air threat warning for Vilnius County and the area around the city of Ukmerge.” Vilnius International Airport has been closed.
