Lebanese MP Edgar Traboulsi has said that “war is not inevitable, but it remains a real possibility, given the ongoing Israeli attacks and the difficult negotiations” with Israel, Lebanon’s National News Agency reports.
– Speaking on “Voice of All Lebanon,” Traboulsi, a member of the Free Patriotic Movement, the country’s largest Christian party, which was founded by former president Michel Aoun, warned of “the gravity of the situation Lebanon is currently facing, amid regional escalation and in light of US and Israeli developments”.
– The MP called for “internal dialogue to address the issue of Hezbollah’s arsenal and its political role,” citing “the Irish experience as a starting point for political solutions”.
