Korea and Vietnam are indispensable key economic cooperation partners to each other. In particular, Korea has consistently contributed to Vietnam’s industrial development and job creation as the country’s largest investor. I believe that such achievements are thanks to the consistent and stable institutional foundation established not only by the governments of both countries but also by the Vietnamese National Assembly, which has actively supported them.
The meeting with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, who was reelected with the trust of the Vietnamese people, served as an opportunity to once again confirm that the relations between our two countries are developing beyond mere economic cooperation into a more comprehensive and strategic partnership.
I look forward to even more active cooperation between the parliaments of our two countries under the Chairman’s leadership in the future, and through this, to the further strengthening of Korea-Vietnam relations. As President of the Republic of Korea, I too will continue to work toward the mutual prosperity and shared growth of both countries.
