Israel’s army has announced that a large-scale military exercise is planned today as tensions ramp up in the occupied West Bank.
– The manoeuvres will be held in the Negev desert, it said in a statement.
– “As part of the exercise there will be heavy movement of security forces, vehicles, and aircraft, and the sounds of gunfire and explosions will be heard in the area. The exercise was planned in advance as part of the 2026 training program; there is no cause for concern regarding a security incident.”
