Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis have reiterated a warning to airlines, airport staff and travellers not to use Riyadh’s King Khalid International airport.
– The group’s spokesman, Yahya Saree, warned that the airport was “unsafe” and remained a “military target”.
– Late on Saturday, the airport said in a statement that Terminal 1 would be designated for domestic flights, and Terminal 2 for international flights operated by national carriers starting on Sunday.
– Operations at the airport were halted on October 10 following a Houthi attack that killed 13 people and injured more than 300 others.
