Three people have been killed, and 36 others wounded, in attacks targeting two airports in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said.
– GACA said Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were targeted in two separate attacks Tuesday and Wednesday, with emergency and relevant authorities responding to both incidents.
– The attack on Abha International Airport killed two residents, one Moroccan and one Algerian, and wounded 28 people, the authority said.
– The injured included two Saudi citizens and residents of Bangladeshi and Filipino nationalities, with injuries ranging from minor to serious, GACA added.
– At King Khalid International Airport, a Sudanese national was killed, and eight people were injured, including five Saudi, two Egyptian and a Pakistani national, the authority said.
– All those injured were immediately taken to hospitals for medical treatment, GACA said, adding that the two attacks also caused material damage.
– The authority said it continues to coordinate with relevant security agencies to assess the damage and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and airport employees.
– Yemen’s Houthis claimed Wednesday that they had carried out attacks targeting both airports.
– Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with drones and carried out another operation against Abha International Airport using ballistic missiles and drones.

Yemen fighting intensifies around Bab al-Mandeb
Forces aligned with Yemen’s government target Houthi fighters from vehicles. On a beach near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, some appear armed and are walking in the sea, while others are on the sand as the vehicle drives towards them.
– The Yemeni government is pushing to retake strategic territory along the Red Sea coast. It says its forces have pushed the Houthis out of areas around Bab al-Mandeb and taken the port city of Mocha.
– But the Houthis maintain they still control the territory they seized last month.
– Meanwhile, in Sanaa, Houthi supporters pledged their backing for fighters on the front lines after the group posted videos it says show strikes on positions held by government forces along the western coast.

Houthis claim downing Saudi drone over Taiz
– Yemen’s Houthis claim they shot down a Turkish-made Bayraktar Akinci armed reconnaissance drone, which they said belonged to Saudi Arabia, while it was carrying out what they described as “hostile missions” over Taiz province.
– Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the drone was brought down using an “appropriate weapon.”
– Separately, Saree said the group targeted gatherings and reinforcements of Saudi-backed forces with ballistic missiles near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
– According to Saree, several missiles struck forces at the Qawah camp in the Ras al-Ara area, resulting in casualties and fires at weapons storage sites. He added that the Houthis also targeted forces south of Bab al-Mandeb, as well as in al-Saqiya and Ras al-Ara, killing and injuring dozens.
