Ibrahim Al Moussawi, a Hezbollah official and member of the Lebanese parliament, has said any ceasefire must extend to all parts of Lebanon, including the south.

“It should not only [be] restrained or constrained to Beirut or to the southern suburbs. What about the south? Why not a whole, full ceasefire without any conditions?” he said in an interview with Al Jazeera.

– Al Moussawi also rejected comments made on Friday by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, accusing Iran of using Lebanon as a “bargaining chip” in negotiations with US President Donald Trump’s administration.

– “This is nonsense,” said Al Moussawi of the remarks, adding that Lebanon “does not maintain any strategic significance in this war”.

Iran is helping Lebanon. Lebanon is not in a place to help Iran anymore,” he said.
