In my opinion, Europe and Russia should pursue a principled agreement grounded in mutual respect for sovereignty and a shared resolve to stand firmly against coercive and bullying behaviour. Such an approach would give Europe strategic room to manoeuvre, allowing it to maintain equilibrium between an ally drifting towards hostility and an adversary signalling a willingness to become a partner.
