Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commented on developments in the Middle East, saying Turkiye will continue with its efforts to promote peace.
– Speaking after a cabinet meeting at the Ahlat Presidential Complex in Bitlis, he said Turkiye will not allow what he called “bloody scenarios” being devised for the Middle East to be carried out.
– “We will not refrain from working to establish peace in our region because some do not want it, are concerned about it or see their plans disrupted,” Erdogan added.
– He said Turkiye would continue supporting its neighbours’ recovery despite opposition from what he described as “criminal networks with the blood of innocent people on their hands”.
– Turkiye recently signed a joint defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in Mecca as the US-Israeli war on Iran is close to entering its seventh month.
