Egypt’s foreign minister Badr Abdelatty has affirmed Cairo’s solidarity with Lebanon in a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
– Abdelatty stressed the Egyptian position, calling for the necessity of Israel’s complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, and stating that any infringement on Lebanon’s sovereignty is a violation of international law.
– He also expressed support for the Lebanese army, saying that only the Lebanese state – and no other groups, including Hezbollah – should have arms in the country.
