On a working visit to Gabon, the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, visited the Nkok Industrial Zone in Libreville, a model recognized for local wood processing in Africa.
This trip is part of an effort to strengthen the sharing of experiences on the sustainable management of the Congo Basin’s forests.
The Head of State thus immersed himself in the Gabonese model based on local processing, the creation of value chains, and the attraction of investments.
This experience could inspire the reorganization of the wood sector in the DRC, particularly through the development of local industries and the revitalization of special economic zones such as that of Maluku.
