China has been working to break the deadlock between the US and Iran, Foreign Minister Wang Yi has told reporters.
– “Resolving long-standing grievances is no overnight task, but every step forward in the negotiations brings a glimmer of hope for peace,” Wang said after chairing a high-level United Nations Security Council meeting in New York on Tuesday.
– “We hope that the parties concerned will firmly adhere to a ceasefire and stopping hostilities, continue to move toward one another, and bring peace back to the Middle East as soon as possible,” Wang added.
