Russia has attempted to erase the identity of Ukrainian children and tear them from their families. Canada is providing nearly $7 million to support their return, recovery, and reintegration.
This includes funding for UNICEF and frontline organizations working to locate the children taken by Russia and bring them home. This support also contributes to efforts to counter the indoctrination and militarization to which they have been subjected.
