Canada and Kuwait are expanding the scope of their cooperation. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and I signed a memorandum of understanding on defense and security cooperation to strengthen our capacity to work together on shared security priorities.
Our relationship also extends to areas of growing strategic and economic importance, including artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and strengthening ties between our populations. Building on more than 60 years of diplomatic engagement, we are looking to the new opportunities that enhanced cooperation can unlock.
