I received a phone call from Hamish Falconer, the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, who expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to stopping the escalation, while I affirmed that Lebanon is seeking to reach a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, coupled with Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied villages, as a prelude to the Lebanese state regaining its full sovereignty over its territories.
