AUC Chairperson this morning visited the offices of the AU Mission for Mali & the Sahel (MISAHEL) in Bamako
The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, this morning visited the offices of the AU Mission for Mali & the Sahel (MISAHEL) in Bamako, where he was received by his High Representative , H.E. Mamadou Tangara, & the staff of the Mission.
The Chairperson expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended to him and commended the Mission’s personnel for their professionalism, dedication & commitment to advancing the AU’s mandate in Mali & the wider Sahel region.
He noted that the visit reflects the AU’s continued solidarity with the Government & people of the Republic of Mali, as well as the Commission’s u/support for MISAHEL in the implementation of its mandate to promote peace, stability, dialogue & sustainable development in the region.
H.E. Mamadou Tangara, together with the Mission’s staff, expressed their appreciation to the Chairperson for his visit, describing it as a strong demonstration of the Commission’s commitment to the Mission and its mandate.
