Today, I received at the San Martín Palace the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign and Military Hospitaller Order of Malta, Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo, with whom we signed an agreement to strengthen our framework of cooperation throughout the country.
In 1948, Argentina was the first country in Latin America to establish diplomatic relations with the Order and, since that time, its hospitaller knights have carried out uninterrupted work in our country, for example, assisting the faithful who pilgrimage to Luján.
We share values, we defend life from its conception, and we recognize in Judeo-Christian values the origin of Western civilization.
