Bucharest — During my visit to #Romania, I had a useful and constructive meeting with Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, Minister of Investments and European Projects.
I shared an update on the strong momentum of Albania’s EU accession process, and we discussed the imperative of building the institutional and administrative capacities needed to assume the responsibilities of future EU membership, including the effective management and implementation of EU funds and programmes.
We also explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation between our local authorities, drawing on Romania’s valuable experience in aligning local governance with the EU acquis and effectively using cohesion policy instruments to support regional and local development.
