Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Naeem, met with Japan’s Ambassador Masamoto Kinichi in Kabul. In this meeting, discussions took place on bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Japan, mutual benefits, and sustainable cooperation. The Japanese Ambassador expressed hope for further strengthening the relations between the two countries

He commended the clear progress, praising the Islamic Emirate’s serious and effective campaign against narcotics in Afghanistan, the improved security situation, and other developments, and also welcomed the Brussels meeting between the Islamic Emirate and the European Union.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for Japan’s positive stance and the country’s cooperation with Afghans, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral relations and the expansion of mutual ties. In the end, both sides deemed meetings for joint coordination and cooperation important and necessary.
