Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, has met with Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakheet, Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on the situation in Afghanistan and the region, political and economic relations with regional and international countries, and new opportunities for cooperation.
During the meeting, congratulations were also extended on the appointment of the OIC’s new Secretary-General, while the importance of constructive engagement with Afghanistan and the country’s significant role within the organization was emphasized.
