The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Meets Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy

H.E. Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held a meeting this morning with Mr. Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Minister of National Economy, who arrived in Kabul on an official visit leading a high-level delegation.
The meeting was held at Gulkhana Palace and was attended by Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister.
At the outset of the meeting, H.E. the Prime Minister warmly welcomed Mr. Zhumangarin and stated that Afghanistan and Kazakhstan are two Muslim countries with extensive shared political, economic, religious, and cultural ties.
In response, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan expressed his pleasure at visiting Kabul and stated that the purpose of the visit is to expand and strengthen economic and political relations with Afghanistan.

Mr. Serik Zhumangarin stated that the President of Kazakhstan attaches special importance to Afghanistan and closely follows relations between the two countries, considering Afghanistan an important partner in the region.

He further noted that Kazakhstan places strong emphasis on humanitarian cooperation with Afghanistan, particularly for returning refugees and those affected by natural disasters. He added that eight wagons of humanitarian aid, including tents, medicines, and other essential supplies, were sent to Afghanistan today.
The Deputy Prime Minister further stated that his country aims to increase Afghan exports to Kazakhstan. In this regard, a joint Afghanistan–Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce will be inaugurated in Kabul today.
He also noted that Afghanistan, under stable and responsible leadership, has made progress in various sectors and affirmed that Kazakhstan is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in all areas.
Mr. Zhumangarin further conveyed a formal invitation from the President of Kazakhstan to H.E. the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, inviting him to undertake an official visit to Kazakhstan.

H.E. Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of Afghanistan described bilateral relations as important, noting that Afghanistan has achieved progress in various sectors, which he attributed to the cooperation of friendly countries.
He further expressed hope that this visit would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries.
He also directed all relevant government institutions to take practical and effective steps to expand cooperation and strengthen ties between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, requested Mr. Zhumangarin to convey his greetings and best wishes to the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and members of his cabinet. He also extended an invitation to the President of Kazakhstan to visit Afghanistan.
