On May 26, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with Special Advisor to the President of Brazil for International Affairs Celso Amorim, who heads the Brazilian delegation at the First International Security Forum (Moscow Region, May 26-29).

The conversation was held in the traditionally constructive and trust-based atmosphere.

The Sides exchanged assessments of the current international situation, including developments in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf area, the situation in Latin America, and the Ukrainian crisis.

They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening foreign policy coordination between the two countries, including within multilateral formats, primarily BRICS, the UN and the G20.
