Met in Kyiv with Prime Minister of Latvia Andris Kulbergs and his government team.
Thanked Latvia for its principled and consistent support of Ukraine, and for joining the Shelter Coalition — a vital initiative to protect civilians from Russian missile and drone attacks. Also, grateful for energy assistance and support for reconstruction projects in Chernihiv region.

We discussed restoring railway infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes and the possibility of war‑risk insurance.
I informed about Russia’s terror in the Black Sea aimed at blocking grain exports — we reached clear agreements on how to counter this together.

Our talks also focused on accelerating Ukraine’s EU accession negotiations and strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia. Moreover, we agreed to focus on implementing the drone agreement.

We value Latvia’s reliable partnership and friendship. Together we continue to bolster Ukraine’s defense and European security.
