Today’s Federal Foreign Minister in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine:
Putin’s brutal war of aggression has not let up in the slightest. On the contrary: 🇷🇺 is relentlessly attacking Ukraine with swarms of missiles and drones. Putin is also targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the process.
July was the deadliest month for 🇺🇦 since the start of the war. Behind the numbers are people: parents, children, siblings, friends. Germany stands firmly by their side. That is why we are providing an additional 50 million € for humanitarian aid, especially with the winter in view.
Air defense remains particularly urgent. Germany continues to provide support and is advocating among our partners for additional systems. In turn, we are learning from Ukraine and developing joint drone systems and ballistic missile defense.
Our partnership makes Ukraine and Germany stronger and safer. For us, it is clear: Ukraine belongs to our European family and to the European Union.
