The Palestine Red Crescent Society says it took part in a medical evacuation through Gaza’s Rafah crossing, carrying 71 people, including 32 patients and 39 companions, the Wafa news agency reported.
– The evacuation was carried out in coordination with the World Health Organization, Wafa added, as part of ongoing efforts to allow patients from Gaza to access treatment outside the war-battered enclave.
– Israel’s bombardment during its genocidal war on the enclave has ravaged its health sector, already severely strained before the war, pushing it to the brink of collapse.
