The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Oman discussed ongoing security tensions in the Gulf region due to the war on Iran.
– The Saudi state agency SPA reported that the top diplomats shared their concerns about recent developments and spoke about ways “to ensure the safety and freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz”.
– Omani representatives also held in-person discussions in Iran over the weekend. Tehran said maritime navigation was discussed and that progress had been made during the meetings.
