Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Canadian counterpart, Anita Anand discussed, in a phone call today, the repercussions of the dangerous escalation in the region and efforts to restore calm and establish lasting security and stability.
– The two ministers emphasized the importance of adhering to the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and resuming negotiations to reach a comprehensive solution that addresses all the causes of tension and guarantees freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
– They also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest and cooperation programs between their countries.
