Chairman of #Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council, H.E. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on Wednesday received the African Union (AU) Commission Chairperson’s Special Representative for #Sudan, Ambassador Mohamed Belaiche, in Khartoum to discuss the political & security situation, AU-led mediation efforts, & the reopening of the AU Liaison Office.
Amb Belaiche conveyed the AU Commission Chairperson’s commitment to continued engagement with all Sudanese stakeholders in support of an inclusive, Sudanese-owned process to restore constitutional governance & advance lasting peace & stability.
Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mohieddine Salem, also attended the meeting.
