Pakistan–Kyrgyzstan talks highlight Central Asian trade routes

🔸During the first presidential visit in 20 years, Asif Ali Zardari and Sadyr Japarov discussed regional connectivity.

🔸Afghanistan is too unstable for trade, says former ambassador Waheed Ahmed.

🔸Iran is the preferred alternative if US sanctions are lifted, with China as a second option.

🔸Ahmed said the US benefits from instability in Afghanistan to prevent Pakistan and Central Asia from connecting with Russia which could shift the regional balance.
