Dr. Hanan Balkhi assured continued cooperation with the World Health Organization’s health sector in Afghanistan, called polio a global concern, and requested the Islamic Emirate’s support for the successful implementation of anti-polio campaigns to eradicate this disease.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country welcomed health cooperation and announced his full support for anti-polio campaigns. He emphasized the strengthening of the country’s public health system, the establishment of advanced centers for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, the equipping of health centers, and medical personnel emphasized the need to increase capacity.
