Iran’s foreign minister has discussed the memorandum of understanding and its implementation during a phone call with his French counterpart, according to Iranian state media.

– Abbas Araghchi and Jean-Noel Barrot spoke about recent regional and international developments, focusing on efforts to permanently end the war between Iran and the US and Israel.

– It comes after Iran’s deputy foreign minister said on Monday that the country would not allow France to assist with demining the Strait of Hormuz.

– Kasem Gharibabadi said the Strait is solely Iran’s responsibility and that the country will not allow anyone else to take part in the effort.
