Angola and Canada are working to deepen cooperation across trade, commercial sectors, and critical minerals.
It was a pleasure to meet with my Angolan counterpart, Tete Antonio, to discuss strengthening collaboration on the Lobito Corridor, maritime security, and advancing Canada’s Africa Strategy. I also welcomed Angola’s leadership within the African Continental Free Trade Area and the African Union and agreed to deepen our engagement through the MOU with them.
